q3

These guys are bad news.  Only now do we find out they bypassed the crushers for a third of the ore mined in q3 last year.  Did I miss something, or did they just not tell us? Can you imagine putting the blasted rock directly on to the leach pad?  Oh boy.  Q3 this year has a million tons less ore mined and therefore stacked, than q3 last year.  This has nothing to do with the conveyor breakage. This must be the reason the shares have sold off so much. Insiders know that the operation is stumbling around in the dark without a clue.  I guess the reason must be incompetent, lazy , or no-show workers and managers. I don't see how they can talk about 250k ounces when 200k is a distant dream.

This (from Page 1-13 and 1-14 of the 2019 Technical Report) might help explain things: 1.10.1.1.1 ROM Ore ROM ore (less than 0.30 g/t but above the cut-off grade of 0.15 g/t) will be sent directly from the Eagle pit to the primary HLP during the stacking months, and to the ore stockpile during the stockpiling months (January to March). The ROM ore will be reclaimed from the stockpile using a ...more

IMO this is another of their made-up excuses for poor performance.  In Q3 of 2021 the company reported that they stacked 3.3 million tonnes of ore on the HLP at a stcked grade of 0.90 g/t.  Both the tonnage and grade were records.  Now they are saying that a third of that stacked ore was low grade (i.e < 0.3 g/t), but the average was 0.9 g/t?  Yah right.  The crushed ...more

Thansk to both of you for the valuable insight. This is more than frustrating. 50K for 3q is at the low range of my expectations. I was thinking 55K was needed to achieve a miserable 165K for the year. Now with this ops issue, the set back will be terrible. let's assume three weeks of downtime... Are we expecting now a 4Q production around 40-45K instead of 55K (3 weeks downtime/13 weeks  ...more

New leadership.  WE need someone who has ran a mine succesfully to bring credibility back.  This is no big deal if not for all the other non disclosed or late disclosed issues that a manager with experience would have avoided, fixed sooner or at least knew enough to communicate to the market.  The shorters are close and that is the real criminality.  How many active profitable ...more

gda, I think your assumptions are reasonable, but who knows until we get a revised forecast and actual results.  I expect a bit of a lowball new forecast that they expect to beat so that they can again trumpet that production exceeded the (revised) forecast as they did last year. There is more confusion and conflicting statements in the news release which states that "During this ...more

I believe in looking at things from a conservative perspective when investing.  I definately prefer the company err on the lower end as that is how I would look at it.  Unlike Great Day, I would be even more convertive.  The company says downtime estimate 3 weeks.  So what exactly does that mean?  Ideally 3 weeks everything is finished they hit the black button and ...more

All great points MVargas and thanks for the clarification on the Recovery rates! Your following points in particular have to make one wonder what's truly going on with VG: "Last year the low flow drip lines was a convenient reason (excuse) for missing guidance.  This year it is the conveyor belt breakage.  Why not take a week to repair the belt and replace it during the 1 ...more

Honeybagger must be the new OCD poster.....they used to constantly go in and post THANK YOU to each others posts all the time. FYI, John McConnell is not on the same bus as you...he makes a massive salary and if replaced after a buy out or fire he gets a 2 year massive buy out too boot.  Most ALL of his stock is from the options collected since 2007 or so, all free money to buy in or not ...more

HoneyBadger, thanks for your thoughts, but I really do have to take issue with some of your points (below in bold).

Thanks for your reply MVargas...in my defence I did add a disclaimer about being at risk of being labeled a conspiracy theorist....Lol.  I've added some additional comments below in brackets preceded by 'HB77' if your interested.  I do appreciate your feedback and perspective on all this MVargas! HoneyB You state that Banyan has " Banyan apparently has about 4 million (probable) ounces" Apparently or otherwise Banyan has Zero, 0 , Nada Probable ounces.  They have an inferred resource.  There is a massive difference between the two!  For the most part a probable ounce is the indicated portion and could be measured of an economically viable deposit.  To be ...more

My mistake, Banyan's ~ 4 million ounces are NOT probable ounces.   MVargas already corrected me on this error in an earlier post.  My apologies and thanks!

I luckily sold my position once again in Victoria prior to this drop.  Trading in and out works for me!  I believe this latest update will once again have the share price drop below $7 if gold price remains constant.  Here is my concern.  Last quarter financials showed they have a very poor cash position and accounts payable exceeding both accounts receivable plus cash.  ...more

why quibble about such a meaningless mis-categorization of numbers?   LMAO.  Honeybadger should not have to apolgize just as Mvargass has never apologized for many of the straight out lies he has posted, or insane price targets of $36 and tons of other stuff.  This is a NO apology board......let them type what they want to  LOL. Hang in there everyone  $7 is likely ...more
