Could get interesting

In the interview I posted last week, McConnell said we'll have to sit down with Banyan and see if we can work something out if they show 5 or 6 million ounces. Well, the ounces happened today.

Those are inferred I believe.  Nothing will move forward for quite sometime.  VGCX needs to get their own house in order.  If those 6 million were confirmed....BYN would be a lot higher than .40.  I wish BYN the best as it might enhance VGCX take out price.  Time to pay off VGCX debt now, not incur more.  If no one will step up for VGCX, why would anyone step up for ...more

The VGCX house is already in order, barring catastrophe. No one is stepping up for VGCX because they don't want to pay what it's worth in the big picture that includes VGCX exploration on a giant piece of land barely drilled, plus major ownership of BYN and LG, and some Hecla interest after they rescued Birmingham. Looks like VGCX shares are controlled by board, so no takeover without ...more

BYN needs to do a lot more drilling just to convert inferred ounces to M&I resources and until that happens they can't even do a PEA much less a pre-feasibility study. It took Victoria 9 years to go from a pre-feasibility study to first pour.  Permitting is more onerous now too with Federal environment assessments. In today's dollars, it would cost almost a billion dollars to ...more

VG sole focus should be challenging 180k+ oz @ Eagle this year and accelerated debt repayment will take care of itself.

Amen brother OBWON.  Have a nice holiday weekend to my American friends.

Will be a good final vs. Vegas.  Vegas is deep and defence is stacked.  Goaltending a mirage....we shall see.

I agree totally MVARGAS and no one is even talking about the higher AISC costs due to the fact that BYN is a lower grade deposit
Comment by Human7 on May 26, 2023 2:19pm
- VGCX is turning a profit and managing its debt. You don't go blindly paying off debt as the only focus while ignoring the resurgent Yukon gold district. You understand that your real worth with so much opportunity is to not pigeon-hole yourself with your exisitng deposit to please long term shareholders plagued by recency bias. - We have talked about AISC.... comparable to Newmont and ...more

I think sometimes the BYN folks get too tied up thinking we wish them ill will.  No, on the contrary, we are tied at the hip.  The issue is we are all here to make a profit.  There is no way VGCX can monetize what they would have to pay for BYN if proven that a mine is feasible, with a sale to a larger entity.  Raven has the same issue.  There is only so much value a ...more

IMO, Banyan is a distant 5th of priorities behind Eagle Production, Cost Reductions, Debt Repayment & continuing to prove out Raven.
Comment by Human7 on May 30, 2023 4:43pm
I think anti-BYN folks are too tied up in their mistaken call on BYN over the last year or so. The investment in BYN so far looks very good. And according to the last JM interview, merger or buy or.... is not a years away topic. The Yukon gold belt is hot and VGCX management smartly has CAs across the board. We don't know what might be going on behind closed doors. What would you have rather ...more

Human - I wouldn't want to dilute shares to buy Banyan, but would certainly be willing to use profits once the ever elusive 200k oz is finally reached.
Comment by Human7 on May 31, 2023 2:10pm
I hear you OCB, but I don't think we have the luxury of choice. With 6.2 million now, and likely more, Banyan will be scooped if we don't act. Nothing to fear here. Husband and wife heavily invested across the aisle in more ways than one, so should be good for shareholders of both companies, whatever transpires.
Comment by MVargas on May 31, 2023 3:25pm
Banyan will not be scooped by anyone without a positive PEA or pre-feasibility study. Until then, Banyan is dead money.  If I owned any shares, I would flip them for VGCX shares.   Which is more likely to see a 50% upside in 12 months?  VGCX to $13 or BYN to $0.60. I would be out of this stock in a heartbeat should VGCX attempt an all-share (dilutive) purchase of BYN ...more

I agree, I could see a huge decline in Victoria's share price if this dilution was to happen. It is likely it would be seen by the market that  Banyan is too expensive in today dollars to develop with such a low grade. h
