Gold at $2305

We are at almost $900 per Oz and that is being modest.  Yes bring on some pr please.  Safe haven gold.   Oil is up on US draws too.  Commodities are red hot.  Another .40 rise Wednesday?  If shorts have to cover it pops even higher.  Long time coming.

I think the most of the shorts are already giving up. They are already buying to cover their earlier positions

Maybe a good time to sell forward another 5%-10% of the production (forward price @ 4months = 2331 @9months = 2380. They have already 20-25% of the production sold fwd at 2080 if I recall correctly.  I think the average hedging in the industry should be around 20%. I am not a big fan of higher hedging % but could be wise to secure the debt repayment.  Another solution would be to ...more

Disagree with any more hedging / forward sales.  The hedging / forward sales they put in place was a prudent move given the situation at the time and will ensure the 2024 debt payments. I highly doubt gold is going below $2200 unless there is a major shift in geopolitics which I'm not seeing.   And with the US adding a $Trillion in debt every 100 days where do you think gold is ...more
