Thanks for that post Nick If the poster is correct and the membrane has slipped, what concerns me is, what if the membrane underneath the main area of the slide has separated or been torn and cyanide solution is now percolating into the ground.  Access to repair that wouldn't be possible until the majority of the material on the pad is removed.  Hope this isn't the case, that ...more

The damaged liner (black pulled away from white) pointed out in this photo appears to be a Spillway liner not a HLF Pad liner slide / failure.  A Spillway runs adjacent to the HLF as is dipicted in the HLF Manual diagram on page 21.  That spillway is right at the slide initiation point noted on the photo by tombszabo and this spillway extends all the way down to the Emergency Spillway ...more
