If the Yukon decided to halt future mining in any way (which I doubt) then capital will go elsewhere and the Yukon can go back to no progress and mediocrity. People should thank investors for taking risk in the discovery and delineation and extraction of natural resources, for if our bet is wrong we lose money, yet if the risk we take pays off it seems almost everyone in the nation benefits. It takes men of the mind, competence and intelligence to define and produce metal out of the ground, for without them the metals will remain unknowable and unreachable. People can make mistakes in judgement, and situations like this will teach future mine builders what to do. I bet a lot of moochers (government, and self entitled virtue signalers) would use this event to leech whatever wealth they can, but I swear if either first nations and/or government use this to demean the mining industry then I and many others will move our wealth elsewhere, to build value in nations that actually appreciate rational, life serving, value creating industries...."
