You got that right Husky....and YTG and EMR should be freakin.  As I've previously posted YTG and EMR will no doubt have liability here as well since it is their responsibility to review and approve the mine build and to closely monitor it and the company once in operation to avoid this level of environmental incident.  What?  This is now the 3rd or more of the Yukon mines that ...more

badger, You're right this goes a way deeper than first blush. Regards First Nations the current movement is towards "full partnerships", I  actually don't see any thing wrong with it, as long as it improves things. Best in my opinion only

HB77, I look forward to the initial third party report due in a few weeks regarding the probable cause of the slide. This report will shed a lot of light on VG moving forward, including potential insurance payouts.  It would appear the Annual Physical Stability Assessment Report was conducted each September, so the 2023 report will be the most recent prior to the slide incident. https ...more

But in a few weeks they should have answers to actual cause not probable cause that should have been established in the first few weeks not the next few weeks.  Just sayin!

Tough to get anything done givemeabreak, when the regulatory boards and FNNN control your every move. Not sure if they have even allowed VG third party investigators to make there way to the top of the leach, even though that area on each side of the HLF was the top sides of the original valley and should have 0 movement. Probably why VG originally said 12 weeks to get er done, but with the ...more

jbrown  Absoulutely. The water license is the BIG one lose that iand its a whole new ball game one the one yard line and your backs against the wall.  I say go deep, go long, go hard.  Sometimes ya gotta roll the hard six!
