OK I'll kick the can down the road - New Eagle Owners
BIG DISCLAIMER
This is just in a few thoughts on what can be done moving forward.
Feel free to poke holes (that's the point) , have a laugh or tell me I'm Crazi :)
1 - First Nations gets financing for an interest in the mine. It might be YTG it might be Federal. Don't care (tax dollars at work).
Why not it's the current modern way. There's apparently billiions to toss around as long as First Nations is involved, Fair Enough. Plus whatever Eagle is moving forward they have a say on what's put, placed, consumed or flown in on their territory.
2 - JM and Co. settle down a lot and propose an option(s) for the company to First Nations, why not they're into this for a long time. They've spent all the cash on getting out of the cyanide contamination. So now JM says sht my backs against the hard rocks and I still want this mine to pay me and co our juicy salaries, but hey I'll take a haircut (AND contribute to some non-profits in the territory (good will)).
Now comes the Tricky Bits
1 - Will Hecla want to participate? Don't forget they have money and are in aquisition mode. Plus I have reason to beleive that all parties will work with them.
2 - With YTG get on with governing and quit posturing, because of the heat.
3 - Will EMR get better standards after this disaster and what will that look like?
4 - I beleive the engineers, consultants, constructors will also need to get on board and really really have a close look on what, where and how of what they are doing and how the reliance on technology contributed to this disaster.
Will this end up as a coalition of VG, Hecla, First Nations, YTG and I'll even throw Pelly into the mix?
Best
In my opinion only.

How about the obvious that the reciver puts this on long term care and maintenance untill all claims are settled and then selects an operater to reclaim the site. The gold was there for millions of years and it can stay there indefinitly. It is no longer about gold mining, it is about clean up, Get it? No response required, just look at the Keno site for an example of what is to lickely. DF
