The Games

Accumulation is going on right now; they meaning companies and trading houses have been fooling the retail guy for 150 years and it's always the same. They start buying up on mass when the price is low and then when they have bought 10 million shares or whatever their target is, a news release comes out and the little retail guy starts getting excited then in another few days or a week after news letter writers and the likes have been sent some bumf out comes another bit of news. The bait is on the hook but the fish are nibbling but the price is increasing. Then some more information gets released and the retail suckers are hooked and the buying begins. Now when everybody else is buying the companies and investment houses begin selling. They have to start selling early on because they have too many shares to just dump it takes several days to a week to accomplish this. That is why Randgold and Sprott sold at the top; coincidence I don't think so but this is also why as Allen say's you must be right when you buy and then just hold.

tdsb, "... That is why Randgold and Sprott sold at the top; ..." I don't think it's true that Sprott sold at the top. In fact, after the latest NR on May 10, for three days in a row (May 11 & 12 & 13), Sprott bought lots at the top. 21 Records Returned  ...more

Thanks Banker for the level 2 info.  you seem to get much more information than I do on my so-called level 2.This kind of volatility can be hard if you are constantly translating your shares into dollar value.  I try to avoid doing that but naturally it happens from time to time.  I own X number of shares and that does not change regardless of fluctuations in price ...more

Sorry I meant to say Volta; I thought they sold some shares near the top.

I am curious as to why you always assume that when cormark purchases or sells volta that it must be for Sprott. Sprott sold this company many years ago and they act for a variety of institutions .

candy19, thanks for pointing that out?!    I will shut up from now on regarding Sprott buys or sells information ;-)

I guess one shouldn't assume anything with their postings there is usually someone else to set the course right but that is why we read these posts, and what makes for a good board. So far we have avoided the acrimony that can happen and destroy this discourse.

candy and tdsb have missed my point....Anyway, why I referred to Sprott when Cormark is buying/selling??  Lookat the buys/sells just now... Sprott is Cormark.  I just said Sprott was buying/selling, not for whom.By the way, someone(s) put in huge iceberg sell order at $1.45..... Time and Sales  ...more

Sorry Z but that trade was done by Cormark for 700 shares so why did you substitute Sprott.I would suggest that you go to the cormark website .You will see that Sprott sold the business in 2002 to the brokers in the firm, that they are independant and that they serve international and cdn investment firms one of which would probably be Sprott.I might mention that a few years ago one of Sprotts ...more

candy19, "Sorry Z but that trade was done by Cormark for 700 shares so why did yousubstitute Sprott...."No, I did not change anything.  I posted what I saw from my websites.   One shows Sprott and the other shows Cormark.    Period.   There is no need to change anything just to make people confused.Anyway, I will put this to rest, no big deals ...more
