NUGT

is the opposite of DUST.    I think Warren Buffett once said:  What the wise man does in the beginning the fool does in the end.   Its hard to know but I would think the easy money has been made on DUST, although chart looks great, and that the wise play now might be NUGT.   But these leveraged plays are killers, especially if you cannot watch them all day.  The beauty of VTR is that while we might get beaten up significantly over a short period of time, if you believe in the company and the sector, you just wait it out.  You cannot do that with the direxion leveraged plays; you wait them out and you can go to zero faster than you think.    That will not happen with VTR.  The number of shares I own have not changed and ultimately I truly believe that the market conditions will support significant demand at much, much higher price levels than we are currently seeing.  In addition to market conditions, the significant cash being spent by experienced miners on great properties is bound to generate rewards from here.

Yes, generally speaking I stay away from the leveraged plays and the options, because the math in both cases is set up to benefit the seller at the expense of the buyer.  DUST just seems to be the special exception because the miners seem to have been given an exemption from the usual 'action/reaction' rule of the markets.  Usually it just takes a small rally to kill the ...more

The junior players are watching them daily as well but see deminishing returns and try to see a bottom but never pull the trigger and on and on. Warren was looking out months and years and plays things he can understand and not changes day to day. We are talking small cap Warren wouldn't consider in a worst case. glta
