Billion Dollar Asset

A billion dollars is 1000 million.   The net present value of Kiaka alone is 548 million, but that is net, after costs.  Before costs, gross value, you add in 609 million and it takes you over a 1,000 million or a billion.  And this is just Kiaka.  So without the Kiaka south portion and based on gold at 1278 per ounce, we have an asset, one asset amongst many, that is worth over a billion dollars.  Whether it becomes a mine two years from now or ten years from now, Kiaka is going to be noticed and valued for a long time.

This morning stockhouse's article paints a very gloomy picture for junior golds stocks which could fall another 50% from what they are at now. But it also said that amongst the rubble, you can pick winners.... which have enough cash to last through this downturn and have great assets. The article mentioned Kaminak Gold (KAM). The last I checked is that they have $22mil cash with a market cap ...more
