NB

National Bank still dumping.........maybe due to its reduced 52-week target price for VTR?     But it's good to see support has been strong at these high 40 and low 50s range..... otherwise with NB and Citigroup's selling, VTR would have been in low 30s range....?!

.

That aside, with PDG takeorver's price ranging from $277mil to $341mil (depending on who is doing the reporting), if VTR had the same deal, it would be $1.73 - $2.13 per share..... But who is going to come in with 4 times the current share price offer? ....... I keep dreaming..... LOL.......

Nothing looks viable from the perspective of current market conditions.  Certainly there can be no prospect of financing based on a dilution of shares priced at 50 cents.  How would we get 600 million financing from a market cap of 75 million.  It is not going to happen.  And a takeover is equally unlikely because, as gold_diggers1 says, it is unlikely that any company would ...more

I am positive and with patience we should all be rewarded handsomely.  I am just saying that as a pre-condition to achieving value from our investment and developing a mine or selling to another company we need some different market conditions.  Maybe it will take 6 months, maybe a year, maybe two, I do not know.  Even PDG must have been a disappointment to shareholders.  Their ...more

Well, apparently NB is not done with liquidating its holding yet after having sold more than 1.5 million shares...... well vol is way down .. both and VTR and KGN .. so they both could trend down if the big boys are sitting on thier hands.,..they sure are not playing today like they were the last two days?  maybe waiting to see what happens in euro land the next couple days

I see it as a positive that volume is down, we had alot of volume and a decent move up after very solid support.  Now we are getting a pullback on low volume, so hopefully the next step is a breakout to the upside with good volume.  Some good news from Europe would provide the catalyst as BP has pointed out....

Good point, and I would add that we had not seen high volume buying for a very, very long time and we have now seen several days of it in the last few months.  And remember that on high volumes days where we essentially broke even like yesterday, that while it demonstrates there are many shares waiting to be sold on such days, for every seller there is a buyer, and for several sessions we ...more
