With the same kind of volume and buying at the ask....then .61 could be in the cards tomorrow...a close above .58 tomorrow would be a good for the push and hold past .61...????

There's no momentum building....Do not be happy too soon....... when these so called invetment houses with their high targets for VTR have taken turns to dump their positions into the market?!    Now is National Bank's turn to do their dumping..... after (it seems) Citigroup has stopped theirs.     It will take a while to chew through all ...more

gd1 - I agree with you, although there are signs of positive momentum building, I think it's a litle early to call a turn, especially with the big institutional 'supporters' so willing to dump into the market.  A weekly close of .62 or higher and I'd start to think maybe the tide has turned.

Looks like momentum to me.  We are at about $300,000 shares traded before noon, well over the daily average already.  The action yesterday took place in the second half of the day.  As for institutions selling, the last posting that I did had a chart and showed more mutual funds buying VTR than selling, with GLDX almost doubling its position in VTR.  After a pretty good gain ...more

What?   momemtum?  what moemtum?  where is it?   This is what you call momentum?   A holding momentum maybe....if we are lucky to close at even today.... lol... There will not be any upwards momemtum until National Bank has exhausted its liquidation sale and no others coming in to join the selling bonanza....   But thatnks for your ...more

I love optimists, even if a piece of poop will fall into their hands, they will find a nut inside!

Relax, we still have the afternoon.  I don't know where you guys/girls live but where I am this is the lunch hour, which is normally slower.  At this time yesterday we were still at 50 cents, so maybe we get some excitement again in the afternoon.  This was sold down to 50 cents on momentum;  no reason it should not rise back up on momentum.  There are different kinds ...more

Call me (and maybe VT1?) a cautious disgruntled optimist on VTR...... long term, I see VTR bring me values.... hence I am still long and strong...., short term, nah, nah.... with all these frigging gamers taking advantage of no news on financing options and staging process for Kiaka?! . Besides, momentum is not built on just one day advance after the last 15 consecutive sessions of losses ...more

Here's an update of Price - Volume since Sept 27 to include yertesday's big move to $.56....  As usual, I don't know how to post a graph/chart for the data.  Can someone teach me how?  VT1, BP or ALLEN4? .   Price Volume 0.480 13,500 0.485 40,000 0.490 253,870 0.495 304,900  ...more

When I posted that Momentum was building....I was strictly looking at the momentum on a one day basis for the traders that I picked up at .50 cents....if you look the trades were being done at the asks, bids were growing, volume was increasing, the size of the trades were getting significantly bigger...etc.... momentum grew as the day went on.....
Comment by 4x4 on Oct 17, 2012 1:31pm
Technically I would like to see a close of .58 so that this so called "momentum" can continue to help the chances of pushing through the .61 level.

Gold's stuck at 1740 - 1750.  If it was going to move up without moving down first it would have done so already.  This waffling around suggests that it we're probably going to get another sharp drop in gold (I'm guessing somewhere between 1690 and 1720) before the move to 1800+  (and I'll get my .45's and .37's finally...)
