Another impatient retail investor at BMO placing one huge sell order 50K at $.60.....?  or is that the investment house again?  BMO has sold nearly 1.5 mil shares so far this year...... The asks stacking up at lower prices before open, not looking good today.... .   Bids Time of Order Size Price 09:13:23 25,000 0.57  ...more

That's interesting.  It seems though that where we are weak is on the Bid side of the equation.  50k is small potatoes on the ask side.  If something were to spark investors interest or imagination in VTR the sp would move rather quickly I would think.  With some time off today, thought I would follow the trading but looks like a lacklustre day.  Last week the news was ...more

But so far, the bids/asks telling me that there are people out there willing to sell at lower than last Friday's close but no one willing to scoop up these shares..... It's in a holding pattern, let see who will blink first....  I thought $.60 is the bottom this time round after enduring those low 50s for a while.... . GLTA

Don't forget we hit .56 last week intra day but closed at .60 so I think that is a good sign.  Of course it is very easy to manipulate VTR so I guess it's up to them at the end of the day.....

Maybe we are into tax loss selling.  There will always be a contingent of shareholders wanting to sell their shares.  It is unlikely that the number on any given day will be zero, but considering there are 155 million shares outstanding this is pretty close to zero.  The negative, as you put it, is that there is no one coming forward to scoop up these sub-60 cent shares.  I ...more

ALLEN4 - "......With some time off today, thought I would follow the trading but looks like a lacklustre day......" . If yesterday was a lacklustre day, today is a super lacklustre one..... wow, only 5000 traded so far on the TSX and 2500 traded on the Alpha......... No one wants to budge either side...............I hope this is the bottom for real!    Have not seen ...more

with Volta yes, but no other stock.    So bad news is no buying and good news is no selling.    Its probably best to be low profile these days, lest we be taken out for a hundred per cent premium at $1.20 which would not make me happy at all.

ALLEN4, have you seen anything (trading) like this before with VTR? given you have been with VTR for a long long time.... . Yesterday trades, all but one, happened in the afternoon...... Will today be the same? Super lacklustre day again? . Trades for C:VTR on 20121113 - 13 trades displayed Time ET Ex Price Change Volume Buyer ...more

Yes this is very boring.  For people who are not committed to the long term success of the company the illiquidity will be seen as a trap.   That's why Alka Singh was suggesting that if you are nervous about the market to stay in large cap highly liquid stocks that you can get out of whenever you want.   If you have half a million shares of Volta and want out what are ...more

You want to see the real market for VTR, then put your 500k shares up for sale with a price limit of .58.  They'd be gone before you refreshed your screen.  The level 2 is just what the market makers put up for show.
