Great News

The all important CAPEX has gone down, is there anyone who doubt we are moving from explorer to producer?   As for exposure, VTR has heavy institutional backing, it's just the mood of the market.  Again, BOTTOMLINE, this news AGAIN today is one more step on the road, one step closer to becoming a mine, which translates to at least a 20 bagger from this point.  Sleep well longs, I do!!

You don't think a gold producer would put us at 10 bucks?  It all boils down to one question: do you believe this will be a mine one day?  I have little doubt, and today shows they are committed to making the economics work.  We were at 2.50 once with about half the ounces in the ground and thoughts of a mine very much more remote.  10 bucks will be cheap on day, I believe ...more

Just back in the office, very nice.  A sign of good management and a good property that we have the flexibility to approach mine development in a different manner than originally planned.  $10,00 a share is quite possible.  I think if we are at that level we would have a significantly different market environment, or we would have grown organically a la Randgold, and developed into ...more

I agree that production is going to come quick.  Usually, you have miners extending and delaying the anticipated date for production.  In Volta's case, if you look at their website, we are going to start building a mine very quickly; the timelines are amazing.  Normallly, one would be skeptical, but Volta has a habit of being very clear on timelines for everything and ...more

BP - "I wonder how much the world bank still has in vtr.. it has been along time since they put money in?" . The IMF puts money into VTR at the end of 2009 / start of 2010 at a price of $.75 /share for $4 - $5 millions.   I assume they are still holding like the rest of longs here :) . GLTA
