the bad numbers out of the States led to gold falling off a cliff.  I just don't get any of this market stuff I guess.....

gold_, Pablo Picasso would not be able to make heads or tails out of the current resource market. You need abstract and subtract thinking to end up thinking in a surreal fashion. I hope I've provided some clarity. LOL.

Trying to anticipate market movements (over timeframe of less than, say 3 years) based on fundamentals is a hopeless task.  Technicals aren't much better, but at least if you get a 'technical sell' and you follow it, you get out.  Trying to reconcile short-term market moves to fundamentals will make you question your sanity.  I guess basically it comes back to the fact ...more

banx, thanks..... anyone want to have some of my pills? . Looking back at 2008/2009, if anything is similar, then VTR will turn around only after nearly 6 - 9 months of trading sideways.......  it would be good enough to see it trading at this $.30s range for 6 months to build a solid base (so that whoever want to sell will have sold), so that ALLEN4 can accumulate over this period ...more

I doubt even the BFS would turn things around at this point given the sentiment.  So I do not think we are waiting for the BFS; I think we are waiting for a turnaround in sentiment.   None of the wise commentators has been able to point to any specific reason for the downturn in POG, other than a change in sentiment, which is of course circular.  I accept that stock prices and ...more
