Sunlight within the dark clouds

From the news release, is there anyone who thinks management is delaying the BFS indefinitely.... like we are going to bunker down doing nothing, and continues to burn through current cash, albeit at a lower pace?
.
First reading the NR, I thought management is shelving the whole thing too.... but reading it again, I believe they are still advancing Kiaka, even though on a smaller scale..... with higher grade gold mined first at lower POG to make Kiaka still viable..... The BFS will be delayed but will still be completed (later than Q3).   Is that correct or I am totally reading the NR wrong?      Management will be reviewing its options on how to develop Kiaka robustly at lower POG environment and those options will be incorporated into the BFS eventually.    Now, my question is how long the BFS will be delayed?    Without the BFS, no one will be lending you the money?!
.

"....the company ... believes it is prudent to review a lower risk development approach on a smaller scale utilizing a mining plan which will result in a higher grade of ore processed. Therefore the company will be reviewing existing data collected to date from the current feasibility study in order to internally review its options that are inherent in the Kiaka gold deposit within a lower gold price environment, while maintaining options to scale up production capacity......Most of the component technical studies being undertaken in the current feasibility study have been largely completed...... This information will be invaluable to the company in determining the best development and production scenario to pursue for a robust project at lower gold prices...... These.... will be incorporated into the work leading to the completion of the feasibility study using the revised approach..... the company continues to rationalize overhead and exploration budgets in order to lower expenditures in an effort to conserve capital....."

Yes, it seems that they are going to try and incorporate what they've done into a new lower-cost mine plan.  But no indication as to how long the delay will be, if they have the money to do that, etc....  Assuming the market tanks like it appears to be setting up for, I can't see anything that's going to save VTR from getting close to .05.

VT1 - ".....Assuming the market tanks like it appears to be setting up for, I can't see anything that's going to save VTR from getting close to .05" . Well, in that case, due to current market conditions and sentiments towards VTR, it's prudent for me to review my options in order to conserve my capital.   My 100K purchase order at $0.10 has been cancelled and delayed ...more

gd1 - these are the same questions I ask myself.  On the one hand, at around .06 or .07 the stock's basically trading for current cash value.  I would think the gold price is going to rebound fairly soon, but then I didn't expect it to drop as low as has already, so who knows.  And even if it rebounds, what does VTR do at this point?  How do they survive long enough for ...more
