Unprecedented Lithium Demand

By 2030, the lithium industry needs over $116 billion to meet automaker and policy targets. Furthermore, even if every asset in the pipeline came online on time and hit its projected lithium production capacities, "the world would still need 1.8 million tonnes on top of that to meet the high case demand". With the lithium industry set to experience unprecedented demand, new sources of lithium are required, and Volt Lithium (VLT.v VLTLF) is one company on a strong path to production with its innovative IES-300 DLE technology.

Boasting impressive capabilities, VLT's DLE technology enables lithium recoveries of 90% from concentrations as low as 34 mg/L as well as 97% recoveries using 120 mg/L concentrations, all while maintaining commercial viability.

Having recently closed a financing for approximately $6.8M, VLT is well capitalized to execute its focus of extracting lithium from oilfield brine and is on track to implement its DLE production method by the second half of 2024 at its Rainbow Lake Property.

With a substantial lithium resource of 4.3 million tonnes and concentrations reaching up to 121mg/L, VLT expects to produce 1,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide from Rainbow Lake by the end of June 2025, resulting in CA$42 million in revenue.

VLT additionally has accelerated its potential for domestic lithium production through its strategic collaboration with two cutting-edge nanotechnology labs. This partnership is focused on removing contaminants from oilfield brine to use in VLT's DLE technology, offering a compelling opportunity to oil and gas operators, and presenting a win-win situation by adding value to existing oilfield operations.
