Institutional investors will sell IMO. Low % of holdings...

The institutional investors will sell, because VMD is a low % of thier portfolio, but will not dump all at once given the low volume and the amount of shares they own, They will not put up with this volitility and make an exit on the back of uninformed retial. Retial will gamble and ride this out to the end, as they wait for VMD to over come  the CMS decision. Expect a slow decline in share price over the coming weeks. Best to get out now. IMO

Even if VMD wins, vents are a high profit business and now a target once again for cuts.

No wonder VMD has been promoting aquisitions and diversifying. They saw this coming.

VMD as a one trick pony in NIV, with Gov't watchdogs targeting the high profit NIV business, I don't see much upside to this stock, given the main payor and rates all come from one payer. The gov't.

Besttobe,     Did CMS come out saying they are reviewing?
Comment by JackLambert on May 25, 2021 4:08pm
Any review based on this report would have occurred a year ago.   The more pressure the Govt puts on margins the less incentive there is for new players to enter the industry.  Door swings both ways.

LongTerm 3, you and everyone else on this board knows that CMS said nothing, and most likely won't for obvious reason's already stated. B2B has always posted his own opinion, leaving out the facts as per usual. Now he says sell, sell, sell, no upside. The same clown that posted way back $8 dollar share price for the next 2 years at least. Yet correct me if I am wrong, did the share price ...more

Well, Tropic, VMD will be back to $8.00 soon. The only thing that saved VMD was covid. Before covid, the stock was declining because of decreased growth and margins. Now that Covid is over, the S/P is once again is declining.  Anyway, I think most investors know the truth and why the S/P has been declining and will continue decline due to this latest overhang.  Obviously the US gov' ...more

The bozos also did not give any indication in the NR when Medicare will decide to demand repayment or not, leaving investors in limbo.

ISCFA wrote "he bozos also did not give any indication in the NR when Medicare will decide to demand repayment or not, leaving investors in limbo.   " This will all end up in the courts and take a few years to settle IMO.  Apria did the right thing and just settle to get it over with, then do an IPO.  VMD doesn't have that luxury to settle because they back ...more

Besttobe,     Did CMS come out saying they are reviewing? If CMS already made a decision, don't you think VMD would have said that in the NR and this whole audit thing would mean nothing. Pretty stupid question.  Viemed completely disagrees with the Report’s findings and does not expect to receive an overpayment determination from CMS,” said Casey Hoyt,
Comment by JackLambert on May 25, 2021 10:16pm
I think CMS has made a decision and Casey has priced it - $0. CMS will have been on the phone with VMD and worked all this out a long time ago.  Do you think last year's record revenues were recorded with defects going back 6 years ?  Do you think CMS was reimbursing last year without an agreement of what was eligible? Accountants tend not to allow "contingent liabilities" ...more

I think if anyone can tackle this attack by the US Gov't on NIV, it is Casy Hoyt. I truly believe he was doing the right thing for his clients and is honest guy trying to do the right thing.  However, the Gov't watchdog and CMS only want savings and have let that be known. IMO Right or wrong, it has proven to be in this industry the norm.  Rates and gov't control over them ...more

People have to realize either way the whole thing is over at year end, because of the four year look back. I'm not looking for an out, but this whole thing is crazy. If this was a real issue Viemed would not of been paid, and continue to be paid. Did the the revenue stop?  No.   Business as usual. OIG has zero authority.  It's like me telling someone they can't run ...more

I'd say today is the turn around from this oversold position.. look for VMD to close higher.. looks like its time to add today..??

Well it looks like my call was right this AM.. now on to my next call... ;-)

A purposeless report - but a good one - OIG can say they have done their job aggressively and advised CMS of a large error.  No consequences given the four year rule.  Everyone happy - the appearance of control and oversight is maintained    as the man said - plans within plans, schemes and agendas.   only my momma loves me, and she may be jiving' too.    ...more

Some of the cases quoted in the report are medically ridiculous requests by auditor - like a patient with COPD and obesity hypoventilation questioning whether obesity hypoventilation was addressed before trying vent for COPD. Seriously? What can you do for obesity hypoventilation that will make breathing better? Change the dimensions of your thoracic cavity? There is no such treatment geez.
