Maybe they plan to buy themselves out with the idle cash the company is sitting on.

VMD is in the Russel small cap index.  So some holdings would be in index funds. So if the index goes up/down index holdings get bought/sold .

The Russell 2000 entered a death cross today so that could also explain the selling.  This means we're probably getting close to the bottom although we could be in for another couple weeks of pain. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-01-19/small-cap-investors-staring-at-death-cross-after-biotech-rout

well its certainly annoying to see profits dwindle for so long.. glad I sold some last May at $10.81 seeing today's price.. at the time I was wondering if I did the right thing.. now in hind sight I wished I'd sold them all.. although I'm still sitting on a 150% gain the 300% gain was much nicer.. :-0

With a market cap at less than 1% of Resmeds Market cap or less than 10% of AHCO's market cap or many other companies, it is possible for a buy out.  VMD is even sitting on a small nest egg of cash.   While management might resist a buy out, I can see many of the institutions voting in favour of a buyout.   The best way for management to prevent this is to increase ...more
