Climbed throughout the day Monday and closed up 57% on 1.6 million shares with very heavy buying at the end of the day at the high of the day. Could have been short sellers trying to cover their bad bet or possibly somebody that knows something. Could just have been people that had been trying to decide if they should wait or buy and realized that they needed to buy before the stock really took off.
Over just the last few years companies have learned how to greatly increase output such as drilling multiple wells from one pad, adding sensors to guide drilling to find the sweet spots, using ultrasound at the source, using wider pipe which allows better fracturing and collection and so gets rid of the problem of having steep oil flow dropoff in the first year of production. All in all, things are looking good.
