My thesis is that all these beaten down O&G stocks will whipsaw back up soon, and I can't time the bottom so I'm picking away at higher quality ones like TOG, CJ and SPE. That this pays a decent dividend too is a bonus.

we lost 5% for the week on the share price even thoguh oil is at $53 and the oil inventories was very bullish. Should have seen TOG at $7.50 not $6.50 but when the big boys want to march down the share price we can not stop it. Hopefully next week we will see oil stabilize and see oil stocks start the climb again. Everyone always says how undervalued TOG,SGY,SPE,TVE are yet we get hammered on

UppersDowners: It sucks, and I've taken a small beating on SPE & CJ, but I've added to CJ, just bought in to TOG and am watching a few others.  I rarely quote platitudes but you want to be buying when the market is fearful, and when all your tried and true valuation metrics suggest mispriced assets and deep value.  Everything that flies too high eventually falls back again
