Scott Edmonds appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, Owen Moore appointed Chief Operating Officer
Vancouver, British Columbia – January 5, 2010 – WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), a leading provider of vehicle fleet location-based services (LBS) and telematics technology, announces that Mr. Anwar Sukkarié, President and CEO and Director of the Company and Mr. Cameron Fraser CTO and COO, have left the Company effective immediately. Messieurs Sukkarié and Fraser co-founded the Company in 1999 and have been instrumental in the development of WebTech Wireless’ technology and its global market position.
Mr. Scott Edmonds, formerly CFO of the Company, has been appointed President and CEO and Mr. Owen Moore, former Co-President of the Company’s recently acquired subsidiary, Grey Island, has been appointed COO.
Glen Brownlee, Chairman of the Company, commented, “It has been my profound pleasure to work with someone of Anwar’s energy and vision over the past seven years. Through his tireless commitment, Anwar has brought the Company to a level where the Board of Directors believes our new senior management team can carry it forward, continuing the integration and sales growth that has been initiated under Anwar’s watch.
