what would happen if there was bad news when good news does nothing?

the stockmarket has as much to do with facts as it does with logic.....it's rigged by slobs who have proven over and over again that they can't be trusted to police themselves.

I agree retail investors cant control a market's direction against money managers playing the swings. The best retail investors can do is buy when its cheap and wait for the money manahers to buy back

What the institutional players do doesn't really matter, if you've worked out the dividend this company will pay if it can no longer find investments to which to allocate capital. The market will either figure out the value of this company, or it won't. It really doesn't matter if you know what it's worth.

Well I figure they can almost by 100% of the outstanding shares with one years income base at current spot prices relative to todays share price
