Should Woulfe do a SHARE consolidation?? Cut the excessive outstandings?

They shouldn't, they couldn't & they won't. IMO whois

Absolutely NO .. to share consolidation (reverse split) for Woulfe ..  this usually spells disaster for a penny stock ..!!!  DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT ..!!!!!!!

I agree, it would be a bad idea, and a bad sign, if they considered a reverse split. Management needs to keep their focus on creating value. Right now, that means getting to sales. When we're awash with cash, if the stock is still undervalued, and there are no better places in which in reinvest capital, management should consider stock buybacks to tighten things up. But only if the market ...more

would be great news...heck, they can afford it!

IMO, a buyout is the most plausible worst-case scenario. The company's yearly earnings per share are going to eclipse the current SP in a couple of years, and that's discounting the rest of the pipeline and focusing only on Sangdong. We'd likely get far, far below the fair value of the company.

AAA you make a good point.  With IMC doing all the governmental negotiating and MOA, I had wondered whether they are thinking of a buyout of Sangdong.  No doubt the thought has crossed their mind too.  Yet Woulfe really seems to be acting like they plan on holding on to Sangdong long term and using the cash flow to finance all their other projects.  Either way it should be a ...more

A minority stakeholder (IMC) takes the lead in negotiating with the local government to ensure that the project full support. How often does that happen? Never. This smells like a takeover in the works.

Ark I hear you.  However, remember IMC does own the majority of the powder plant and maybe the negotiations with the government were regarding the production part of the operaton and not regarding the mining.  On the other hand, it would explain why some might want to keep the s/p undervalued.  On the other hand, if some are keeping the s/p intentionally undervalued, why ...more

I don't doubt IMC would like a takeover, because it would allow them to get a great resource for less than its fair value. We own that resource, so we should not want IMC to get it below fair value. I think we have much more to gain from fostering an amicable relationship with IMC, but keeping ownership of Sangdong. Unless, of course, IMC is willing to pay a fair value. However, given how ...more

The S. Koreans couldn't give 2 cents about or who Woulfe is. They will on the other hand listen to IMC, particularly given the fact that WB is a major shareholder. They like and respect status. From their perspective, I'm betting that everything is meaningless unless they have control over the resource. IMC taking the lead here is very telling for me. They could be setting themselves up as ...more

The problem with the FS was that it was limited to a 400M value based on just mining over 11 years.  There is good reason to believe the mine will produce for 40 years, if not the 100 years being reported in the Korean newspapers.  Once that adjustment is made (inferred to confirmed resources), it will be reflected in a much higher NPV.  The numbers were sufficient to get IMC to ...more

The question is does Woulfe really care about the long term or the short term? If there is a quick buyout at $3.00 - $4.00 that will secure funding for Muguk and it is a quick flip like a house since Orient was so poor at what they did. Do we as shareholders really care when the time comes is another question. I know this stock is being held down deliberately because something is brewing.. check ...more

Great discussion guys.  I've got to run so I am signing out.  One parting comment.  Buffett is a money machine.  His IMC thinks Sangdong is a winner.  Whether IMC finances Woulfe, or does a takeover of Sangdong, we Woulfe shareholders will make lots of of money.  Potential new investers must think they are smarter than Buffett's thinktank at IMC or else those ...more
