Unfortunately, South Korea is the one held hostage by North Korea. They are a human shield. It is ugly what could happen.

I wouldn't doubt that the Korean Bank will hold off on major lending until the international response is clear. This may push WOF over the fiscal cliff as it doesn't have much money on its balance sheet.

With the first successful launch of their ICBM, the countdown has begun in earnest on North Korea's efforts to miniaturized a nuclear warhead. This will not be tolerated by the US. The open question going forward is what the response will be from the US. I was hoping for another unsuccessful attempt by the North Koreans. Who knew that they will pull this off. As a shareholder of WOF, it is a cause for concern, but I'm certainly not going to panic. South Korea has managed to develop their economy to world's 15th largest, doing it in an environment of "state of war" with the North since the early Fifties. It's all part of doing business in South Korea and one should accept this fact when investing in companies doing business there ...more
