Interesting article regarding the Berkshire's purchase of Heinz..... "...In fact, there will be no need for a board of directors once the deal closes, as Heinz will essentially have the freedom to act like a private company operating under the Berkshire umbrella....." Now if we are to apply the business model with IMC, then the business deal between IMC and WOF is part of ...more

Warren Buffett likes to hand pick most of the companies that become part of the Berkshire Hathaway unit. He has the final say when it comes to big deals like the one between IMC and Woulfe Mining.

It is believed that the OSC ...more

Guerreiro, Perhaps you should start believing in your own posts.   Post by Guerreiro  Date: 11/28/2012   The Warren Buffett Effect a) The market is an anticipated mechanism for WOF, just a matter of time as the desired objective goals are coming together. b) There are people that make things happen and have track record of doing it. c) There are people who watch things happen ...more

Sorry SEP, you are misguided..... Buffet doesn't prefer tungsten over gold, and no it is not obvious that Buffet thinks tungsten is a better investment than gold. Gold is a non-productive asset (according to Charlie Munger, VP of Berkshire) which is against Berkshire's business model. Buffet chose WOF because his primary focus is on cash flows and profit margins (i.e. Return on ...more
