Decisions, decisions...

I have owned Woulfe  since Oriental Minerals... bought at .08, .10, .12, back in 2008-2009. As Woulfe progressed, bought more and more as it went up (payed up to .33, thought it was a great bargain at the time with the news we were fed by Brian Wesson). Then, as Woulfe went down as we were fed more and more bad news, kept adding to my position as the price lowered. Recently paid as low as .095. Now, the price has gone up to .13 which is almost a 50% increase from the .09 low in just a few weeks, which is outstanding for any stock. I honestely wasn't overly crazy about the most recent NR, just because it didn't tell us very much which is starting to get very annoying, yet the price has really jumped in the past week. I can't determine if I want to add more now at .13, after all, looking back at .13 in a few weeks from now might have been the greatest buying opportinity of our lives....yet...I'm still not 100% convinced that the next NR will once again be at all what we are looking for, but the other part of me really wants to accumulate one last time before it is too late.
Have any of you picked more up in the past week? Will any of you pick up more " before it is too late"? What are your thoughts?

I did pick up some at 0.09 last week.. or may be it was .095 .. At this point I am overallocated but we are at a disadvantage as far as detail goes.. No idea if the original deal which had IMC getting their shares some where around 0.45 to 0.50 and join venture of 45/55 is still intact or not so only reassurance we have is the likes of Dundee and others staying with their position.. So to answer ...more

Tech, when you say you would add depending on the detail once they come out, you also risk paying way more than .13 per share, possibily double or more..I'm not sure if I would rather taking the chance of buying now but getting way more shares or buying later, getting a lot less shares for my money but at least knowing it is derisked...either way, the next few weeks should finally tell us ...more

Chizzles.. I have been in WOF.V from summer of 2009 with a lot of money tied up.. Most of it around 0.12.. some at 0.18 and rest at 0.30 .. So it is dead money with some loss..The position is fairly large so adding more here is taking on more risk.. Having said that, I may consider adding more in my TFSA next week.. If I don't, I still have a good enough position so I won't feel bad if it ...more

I consider myself one of  the least knowledgable investors on this board. I don't understand all of the x's and o's when it comes to investing. Most of the time I kind of "wing it" with my investing and it has overall worked out very well for me. I was lucky finding Woulfe. I stumble upon Oriental minerals years back, it halted for about a year and when the Wesson ...more

Very excited with the new hype but it's still to soon to party !

I'm in since end of 2011 (announcement korean zinc) and and added heavily at around 0,2 in 2012. I believed both run-ups over 0,35 in 2012 would be sustainable due to further progress in development...maybe this time. Added some more at 0,1...would buy more, but Woulfe is already overweighted in my portfolio.

Sorry, meant end of 2010 and 2011.

Nice post Chizzles. In actuality, based upon your comments, you may be one of the more sophisticated investors on this board. I don't think there are any experts on this board. Simply a group of people trying to exchange thoughts and ideas. Given that, what seems important than is to try and separate what appear to be reasoned and factually supportable posts from those that simply personally ...more

I'm buying more stocks this Monday.  I want another 150,000-200,000 shares.  It's IMC and Buffet...no brainer guys.   Since when have you ever heard on the news " Warren Buffet makes a bad investment!!"  Won't happen!!  He's at the age that he want's to go out on a high note....Warren would never be so stupid to invest into something that ...more

Yes, very optimistic!! I am in for 800k shares, and I am ALMOST considering selling some dpm.to to buy more woulfe.  Following ned....he hasn't failed me yet

Stop throwing Buffet's name around when talking about IMC.. He is strictly handsoff at his subsidiaries and only advise when he is asked.. IMC managers are perfectly able to decide on the merit of this investment and I doubt if Mr. Buffett is involved at this level..
Comment by Pauly10 on Jan 25, 2014 10:32pm
TechOne - Do you really think Buffet is not involved?  Sell your stocks then if you think that.  He paid 10 BILLION for IMC and IMC is involved in this mine. I don't think I have or any of us have to discuss with you anymore about your comment anymore. ;)

Pauly, I agree 100% with Tech. IMC IS involved but Buffet, even though he is very involved in IMC, isn't directely involved in Woulfe. Other (IMC) people get paid good money to take care of that but... I am sure that Buffet makes sure he has the right people to make the right choices working for IMC. Chizzles
Comment by Pauly10 on Jan 25, 2014 11:02pm
I respect you Chizzles but I disagree. Just google Buffect and IMC. If IMC wants to be #1 then they need to overtake SandVik and to do so... they need this mine to do that.  IMC overtook Kennametal in the last few years which was said to be impossible years ago.  Now they say overtaking Sandvik is impossible.  Buffet is aware.  He has to be because this mine is the key to being ...more

Also Chiizzles... I just want to make $ like you so we are for sure to be friends with this mine!
Comment by chizzles on Jan 25, 2014 11:54pm
Wrong again Pauly... if we make the kind of $ I hope out of this we wont be friends..we'd be best friends!! :-)    and...........I hope you are right, IF Buffet is directely involved even better for us..inagine, a .13 penny stock with interest from two billionaires!! Chizzles
Comment by Segusmundo on Jan 26, 2014 1:08am
Chizzles, I agree with your post. I think with intellectual honesty it is reasonable to assume that Warren Buffett is aware of Woulfe and the mine but assuredly is not directly "involved" in IMC's affairs with Woulfe in any respect. I think Tech correctly noted, Buffett and Berkshire are famous for never micro managing their acquisitions. The Berkshire empire makes billions by ...more

Warren Buffett has stated in the past that he likes to be hands on with major deals. He's not just sitting around twiddling his thumbs while some rookie businessman screws the deal up with Woulfe Mining. If anything Warren Buffett would have his right hand man Charlie Munger oversee this deal in order to secure the long term tungsten supply for IMC. Charlie Munger is also a multi billionaire ...more

Pauly10, I agree! Warren Buffett was hands on with the IMC buyout and he even took a special trip to South Korea for the official ceremony to finalize the deal. Buffett's company Berkshire Hathaway paid billions of dollars for 100% ownership of IMC. Now his new company needs tungsten in order to make IMC the top tool making empire in the world. Buffett has stated in the past that he likes to ...more

Pauly10.. So if Buffet is not personaly involved with this deal I should sell my stake ? what an asnine remark.. LOL.. Amazing logic.. I bought shares in summer of 2009 between 0.09 to 0.12 when Brian was starting to make the round to drum up interest.. And the reason to do that was because it was past a large past producing Tungsten mine and that fact has not changed whether Buffet is personally ...more
