Woulfe Mining Next on Ned Goodman's Dundee List?

GaiusOctavius wrote: Savvy investors are buying cheap shares of C.WOF (Woulfe Mining). If history repeats itself in a similar pattern then Woulfe Mining is next on the list. Dundee Corportation currently owns roughly 35% of the outstanding shares of C.WOF similar to the situation at V.VOX. Ned Goodman had Woulfe Mining listed on the CSE Canadian Stock Exchange, he owns a major stake in the new stock exchange. Woulfe Mining tungsten assets could be worth many billions of dollars. Plus Woulfe Mining owns the largest gold mine in South Korea and other projects. C.WOF is in strategic negotiations with Warren Buffett's company IMC part of the Berkshire Hathaway group of companies. Or Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway could buyout Woulfe Mining. Two scenarios could take place here. 1) Gooodman's Dundee Corporation makes a buyout offer on Woulfe Mining. 2) or Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway makes a buyout offer on Woulfe Mining.

Unsure how I feel about a 100% ownership by Dundee and how it would favor the shareholders?  As an example,   with Certainly,  if we were already theoretically 100% owned by Dundee, and subsequently, IMC/ Berkshire stepped up to become a suitor of Wolfe? How would that look?  My point is that all of this is 1of 6 one half dozen of the other.  But if I had my choice ...more

100% means you're no longer a shareholder. Unless you bought shares today and were hoping for a quick pop or you really expect that Sangdong would never get done (in which case, why are you a shareholder?), a buyout would not be in your best interests. Even at 30 cents, which would be a huge premium from today but probably the minimum that people would think about entertaining an offer since ...more

I don't believe that Dundee appointed management of Woulfe are incompetent i.e. no website, no real detailed plan or project time line. These things are not done yet for a reason...All of these factors would help the share price thus hurt the ability of Dundee to takeover the company. This buyout scenario surely has an outside chance judging by their actions in the past year.

They already tried to take direct control of the company this March, fortunately a larger number of major shareholders and an overwhelming majority of minor ones voted against the measure which prevented them from gaining full control, however the remaining stockholders were willing to give them preferred stock in reimittance of the debt, however that preferred stock with have no preferred rights ...more
