Dundee keeping the stock down

After watching for weeks all I see is that Dundee is doing its best to keep the stock in the 12 cents range. They get their intrest at a lower price that way.

True, and logical, but the logical counter is to bid the ask figuring they'll have to keep it low to avoid higher prices, giving you a chance to buy below market value as long as they're willing to keep it up.   I'd love to keep buying, but it's slipped above my average, and I already have almost half my principle in this stock, and so far its generated sparse gains mostly as ...more

Those last responses on the topic are indeed the expressions of my inner belief. Dundee is dealing the cards, Dundee distributes the bread and we are the hungry players. The last men standing will get the profit and I guess some of us - the stubborn ones - ,will be there in time and on the right spot.

I would really be interested in knowing how Dundee is "keeping the stock down".Where does one find that information? The charts? The trading pattern?Bid and ask size?I always become curious about such statements made without any form of proof/evidence,as I always have, for many years....but what do I know,Im' just a message board poster.LOL

It is only a guess on my part. Watch the bid and ask and see how anon (Dundee) keeps the price at around 12 cents. Watch how they will jump or back off the price when it gets in that range. They don't want the price to go to low as they have to pay their workers in stock but they also want to get their intrest at as low a price as possible.

That sounds reasonable, except  how does Dundee control the rest of the market?????Brokers can't just"jump"back and forth and maintain control over the share price, whenever they please, volume will always take control from them.

When you own a s much stock as Dundee has you can buy and sell at will. They can control the price as they are now, and will continue to do so.
Comment by steamerlane on Jul 10, 2014 5:38pm
Please tell me how you"know"Dundee is controlling the share price.Watching a particular brokers actions doesn't translate into"Dundee controlling".
Comment by GaiusGermanicus on Jul 10, 2014 6:09pm
I enjoyed this reply, succinct and and probably accurate.  All they have to do is maintain the bid/ask spread in the face of possible interest or lack thereof.  Buying from them at .12/.13 is something you can do if you think the current price absent news is too high, but only to the extent that they can gather stock at the bid to replace it.  If there was a sudden intense demand ...more

I see la-la land is alive and well.It always amazes me how message board posters have some special insight capabilities to see who is trading, and the reasons why, just by looking at the bid and ask, along with some form of tracking the trades.Anyone at any time can attempt to control the share price,as long as they have the resources to do it,of course you already knew that.
Comment by canon12345 on Jul 11, 2014 11:13am
It is only a guess on my part. It does seem to me that someone is manipulating the share price the most likely being Dundee. What is investing other then trying to figure out what is really going on. I still think we will see a huge price gain but it will be on Dundees timetable. Anyone who invests in a junior with the risk they have is in as you call it lala land.
Comment by GaiusGermanicus on Jul 11, 2014 4:31pm
I tried to explain to one investor/trader that junior mining stocks die more often than not, and that some, particularly gold plays, are sort of doomed from the beginning.  He went on and on about all the goodies Woulfe had, etc, but what attracted me to the stock was the metal being mined at Sangdong.  Sure most junior miners die horrible deaths, going broke before they find anything of ...more

To GG:  Well written and explained of the BID/ASK  price gap, so if the shareholders want the value to increase then the buy action will have to out do the top 3 bid quantities at least, which is going to happen soon upon issue of positive news. SIDE NOTE:  Did you know that 53,------- M shares, and 50,------M warrants were all switched from DIRECT to INDIRECT OWNERSHIP by Dundee ...more
