Just noticed something VERY interesting...

For the first time, under our new management, somebody, (and it happens to be our CEO), aquired shares in the public market. Every insider transaction prior was either shares for financing, interest owed, etc...this transaction is Michel Gaucher taking his own personal money and adding to his three million shares...to me this is huge news...and...he paid .125 for those shares...

Wow this seems confusing....Has anyone got any theories why the CEO would add only $1,000 worth of shares to his holding? It seems like such a small amount even to me....The guy would be worth millions -it wouldn't be worth the five minutes to ring his broker to acquire this much?

Casual purchase online by a child of Gauchier's doing some online aquisition for his piggy bank? That's the only reason I can think of why those extra few shares where added to a 3 million share position, but I suppose there could be others. A seriously doubt he bothered to put in a call to his broker though.  Too trivial for that.

I agree with Gaius... My 5 cents worth of input  would be that  that this minor purchas is only symbolic, what with him or his staff knowing that we natives are getting somewhat restless with inaction, and Im sure our comments are read. I would bet that there is a process for Management to follow what is discussed here. If its not that it could be to settle a ...more

I figure it's the thought that counts, so I went ahead and bought another 10,000 shares today I was so touched.

Good Point Chizzles, I did notice that last week and it reminded me of what an old investor friend said to me long time ago. "Never Buy or Sell shares of a company, unless you know what insiders are doing". As for The CEO buying in the public market last week, perhaps it may imply that he sees an opportunity for a profit and he wants a piece of it. In addition trading has ...more

May be he found some loose change in his sofa or broke his kid's piggy bank..  LOL.. Let's be serous.. If this guy buy 100k+ shares, we can take it a bit more seriously..  This is cost him few dinners at best..

I agree that he bought a small quantity but still, rich people don't get that way by throwing their money away, even if it is (only) $1000. If WOF ever reaches $2.00, that $1000 will turn into $20000, still not bad in my opinion. Maybe I thought more of it, just seemed niced to see an insider spending his own money for the first time on this without getting a warrant or anything as a ...more

May have had a bid in for a much higher share amount and only that small amount got filled.

@ Canon, That is the most plausible explanation I've read untill now. Thanks.

I am SO screwed, I sold off 1/6th of my best position (the contracts were up over 120%) to buy a toy . . . Guess I'm not gonna get rich.  Still, it was less than 10% of my account value and since my two year return is about 200% despite holding an ever increasing share of Woulfe, I deserve it. I also put in ANOTHER limit order on another 10k shares of Woulfe, if someone is stupid enough ...more
