Hope Springs Eternal

Hi wolfry1, TechOne, Ark88.  It has been a long time since we posted on Woulfe's bullboard over the past three years.  I see you are all three still patiently following Woulfe.  I don't know whether whoisyourpapa, Raptor7, Majormac79, segusmundo, geologyfella, mtlimpact, kyoung28, professorchaos, jtsmith, or Easybuxxx are still connected with Woulfe.  I sold the last of my shares a long time ago at $.13, primarily because no meaningful news was forthcoming such that I found the risk too high to continue holding.  One of my sons still owns Woulfe shares, having bought some of them at $.30, so I hope at some time Woulfe rises like the Phoenix.

It seems this past year the best Canadian investment has been keeping one's money in one's pocket--very few Canadian companies have made money in 2014 and most have lost a lot.   Just about the only good Canadian investment in 2014 has been stock in the banks given their oligopoly.  Now most of us penny stock investors are under water and unwilling to invest more now even though now is the time that there appears to be some real deals out there.

The thing that frustrates most of us regarding Woulfe is that there really is little doubt that the resource is there (the mine being shut down because of China underselling and running off the competition as opposed to the mine running out of tungsten).  I get it that a lot of the old mine is under water now and the testing is in relation to entry from a higher location, but I doubt the testing is the biggest problem.  I think IMC has been in no rush because they have used Sangdong as leverage for getting their Chinese Tungsten at a good price.  Whenever IMC gets serious about wanting the Sangdong Tungsten (as opposed to just wanting the threat of it as leverage), the mine will be reopened.  To date they have showed no haste in that regard in spite of expanding their tungsten tool manufacturing facilities in Korea.  Perhaps the recent n/r is some evidence of IMC getting more serious about Sangdong tungsten.

I wish all you longs with Woulfe the best.  You deserve better.  Like I said in the title, Hope Springs Eternal.

Nice to hear from you again Mercury. You seem cautiously optimistic about Woulfe...at .045, are you planning on reinvesting? It could be quite a steal.

Chizzles, the past two years with Woulfe has been like watching paint dry, only to discover the master of the house wants it painted a different colour (all new testing).  It has potential given the current s/p and the existence of the Sangong mine asset.   Two years ago we all thought it was going to be a $3 stock by now.  Now the optimistic expectations are much more modest.   ...more

In hindsight, selling would have been the smart thing to do...I really thought that this was a "sure thing" (even though nothing is a sure thing...which I should know better)...with what we already knew was in the ground, I honestly never thought that it was even possible to drop to .04. That being said, I have been here for six years, buying from .06 (Oriental Minerals) all the way up ...more

Hi Merc, nice to hear from you. I'm still here, don't post much but read the boards every day.  Whois

Hi Mercurysmith, Yes I'm still here but only with 20k. Sold most way back and decided to keep a few just to maintain interest. Happy holidays to you and your family. Best wishes to everyone for a prosperous 2015!

Great to hear from you Merc. Still here and have been in since mid 2011. Glad to see so many old names come out of the woodworks. Would love to put more time into due diligence but the stock prices have dropped so much from where I bought that the value of my stock doesn't warrant the time it takes to stay completely up to speed. I believe the fundamentals haven't changed much and that' ...more

Mercury, great to see you are still alive, well, and, as of today, about .08 cents a share wiser than the rest of us old timers! Oddly enough, as evidence to accentuate your point that "Hope Springs Eternal," today I picked up some more Woulfe. This stock has recharacterized itself in my world from a simple investment to a life event, ridiculous as it seems, but here I am. I stopped ...more
