Almonty

In the merger, we get 41%-48% of this: (and I haven't looked into these properties but if anyone has, feel free to give opinions): Almonty's principal assets are the Los Santos tungsten mine, producing 1,100 tonnes per year of WO3, and the Wolfram camp tungsten and molybdenum mine in Queensland, Australia, which produced 700 tonnes of WO3 in 2013. In addition, Almonty is working toward the commissioning of the Valtreixal tin/tungsten mine in northwestern Spain with anticipated production in 2017.

From what I read in the NR, Almonty's Los Santos mine is already profitable. Does this mean we don't have to raise money if we merge? That would be huge...also...Almonty pays out a cash dividend of 2.72 cents per share. Again, the merge actually doesn't seem so bad, we are just getting robbed for at .08 per share but long term, I think that we can still make decent money. Chizzles

Make money long term? That would indicate the future is a given, without the possiblilty of something unkown to us today, causing a significant problem for this newly"merged" company. So,we are getting"robbed" in the mean time, and that doesn't seem so bad?

If Almonty was a better than Wof, then IMC would have made a deal with them. However, I still like Almonty.

Chizzles....... Almonty seems to be a fine company. The issue is the share conversion ratio. It would take forever for many of us to break-even, even with the Almonty dividend.

Kilgor....I agree, the conversion ratio is criminal. When I saw the NR this morning, I had to reread it several times, assuming that I was reading it wrong. I am not in any way agreeing with this. I have owned shares of Woulfe since 2008 when we were still Oriental Minerals and after seven patient years, this is not at all what I was expecting (at least not for $.08). It is unbelievable. But ...more

About 1/10th of 1% sold off due to this news announcement, hence most shareholders barely flinched. I would be really surprised if Korea Zinc and other major institutional investors were to go for this deal. The average cost of their shares is a lot higher than $0.20.  The fact that there isn't a major selloff following this news announcement by institutional holders, indicates to me ...more

Kilgor; you're absolutely right. They have not demonstrated that they act in the best interest of shareholders. Time to vote.

Fired?  No, I was thinking Fired, turned over to authorities, civil trial for clawbacks of pay and bonuses, lifetime ban from corporate officer positions, and a few other things . . . Because either they've been lying to us from the beginning, or this is part of some larger deal of which screwing over existing shareholders of one or more companies is but a part. Along with everyone on ...more

Yeah well if we were trading sharese even that would make sense, but that dividend rate combined with my reduce holdings would mean I'd have been better off putting my money in Rubles.
