Oil Market

Speculators are running the show in the Oil markets  Nothing new about that.
Oil was $90 one month ago
Have conditions changed that much in a month?

agree, it is disgusting the damage hedge funds, speculators and naked shorters can do to a sector. I own LTS, added to it today as well as CPG and BTE and took a new position in LRE at 2.81 today. The valuations on these stocks ( especially LRE and LTS are just truly laughable and you just have to shake your head at how the market can get it so wrong. Short term, prepare for a slaughterfest. Some Technical Analysis technicians (Rick Ackerman) are see a bottom of $56 oil before any rebound begins. And Rick Ackerman is a smart dude, it IS possible. If it does happen i would load the boat on well run oil companies (not necessarily LRE)

Condition has change a lot:The Saudis have opened the valve , first to get Putin off guard and to hurt him while helping the world economy around the globe. I think we are better in the gas market and gas producing company.!!

The only thing that has changed is some local excesses in land locked parts of the US caused by recent high levels of horizontal drilling (wells that have 50% decline rates over their first year of production). Take a look at global oil demand, and global supply to get a better idea of actual oil supply and demand dynamics. There's a reason the Saudi's dont' want to cut production ...more
