target

Canaccord has lower their target from 6$ to 4$ and from buy to hold...ouch!

I need $5 to break even so might take a while. Bad day so far!

Same here. It will take a lot of patience to get back. Hope we get sold and soon. Hope is a bad strategy.

Canaccord analysts are useless. It was only back on October 9th they had a $7 price target, now they are down to $4 after the stock has already fallen. Seriously, do these guys have a clue about what they are doing? How could they be so far off the mark? I would not put much thought into anything they say.

I know I trade dropped their target to 5 dollars.  What blows me away is their target for N gas for 15 at $3.00 I would say that is low. Can't seem to get a break here.

Analysts are rated based on stock prices achieving their targets.    There is no advantage to an analyst to forecast a price thats double the share price, when they can make it 25% more than the shareprice. All that matters with forecast target prices is that they are higher than the current share price. In terms of the realized average boe price - thats what you get when you look at a ...more

thanks for your thoughts JB, but investors seem to have little use for logic these days. LRE is getting close to having lost 1/2 its value in the last 3 months - this is a catastrophy for energy industry investors and can only be labled as a capitulation in my view. This is an opportunity for the buzzards from Wall Street to come and buy these assets CHEAP. The rich get richer, the middle ...more

LRE is getting close to having lost 1/2 its value in the last 3 months Not just LRE buddy...I'm down close to 200K on my energy positions in the ast 3 months. Crazy!!!

I just knew they were waiting for me to get back into the market to suck me dry.  But I play differently now.  I figure there's no point in selling something that's already had the poop kicked out of it.  So LRE stays... But now I'm going to sell something short that hasn't seen the inverse parabolic drop that some of the juniors and midcaps have.

I started a position in LRE a month ago. Am considering adding. The biggest problem for me is uncertainty about how the acquisition will be integrated and if it's truly accretive. There is a lot of risk here given the sust. payout ratio is now over 100 and they have lots of debt. If commodities go back up a lot of the risk will go away but I would rather see management fix the company for a ...more

Al42...I feel for you and I am down only 100K but it will bounce back. LRE hurts just like LEG,LTS,TBE that have taken a beating not mentioning my gold stocks that make me want to cry. Sept. and Oct. have been the worst months of my life.
Comment by Al42 on Nov 06, 2014 1:03pm
Yup...to make matters worse I have a few thousand shares of TCK and G as well. But I'm not selling and hopefully everything rebounds and normal valuations come back.

It's funny yu mention gold since I'm starting to look at gold and silver.  Just started nibbling as a matter of fact.  Now I feel like the donkey that's being led by the carrot that he never gets to eat it. Anyway, I'm looking at SGY's quarter and they have 217mm shares out, debt of $503 mm, 20,350Boe/d, cfps $0.33 ($0.32), eps $0.16 and the stock goes up a tad ...more

So why does this company seem to be so hated? Can millions of shares really be wrong?

I catastrophy, crash or correction is a bargain or shopping day for other people. It's no more different than 1929. Bought a good batch this morning.
