Now that depends on the type of bad news... if companies on these exchanges say they are going to file for CH 11 you definitely don't want to be owning that stock because there will already be a trail before you get there... and you should have exited way sooner than that if you were not short. What Buffet is saying is to buy good companies with historically good management when they have ...more

What does Buffet says about companies that incured debts? he probably buys the company for cents on the dollar and then fire the management team.
