no reason to make haste

i have seen too many dumb people make bad decisions because they paniced and did not speak to the right individuals. Whatever you want to call them or however you deem them, we the shareholder voted agreed upon it unanomously. Live with it or get lost as Canada is a democracy which is not always fair for everyone. Based on my conversation with them, it is all systems greem light with respects to funding.

Be Careful What You Wish For   Long Run; A Going Concern ? Somehow I think not!   First a bit of history;   Long Run got into this mess due to what turned out to be some very poorly timed acquisitions financed with debt. They weren’t alone.   When the wheels started to fall off and the Lenders began rattling the cage we were told that the “Plan” was to reduce the debt with ...more

Once again BlueCollar51 you prove you are an idiot & pretend to think you know & spout off like a fool. Book value means nothing. It is a manipulative number used in this case to exploit & rob from small investors. Book value number is a number used to suit the occassion & does not reflect reality. The market goes up & goes down. Shorters & those who use other devious ...more

Study the dynamics of shorting & market manipulation of share prices for LRE. Selling of non-existant imaginary shares or borrowing to sell on a exchange in order to drive prices down & then use multiples to arrive at a manipulative book value to infer a Company's worth is a scam. Next, the Chinese never owned a single percent in LRE but used LRE mgt. ownership & privileged share ...more

What are you on about you nutjob?  The amount of shares being shorted was going down consistently since 2014.  The short interest ratio before the buyout was pretty minor.

HamSandwich: that is exactly what you are a "Ham!" You just proved my point. LRE's share price was manipulatied downward. Now study the offers as they fall (from 1.40 to 52 cents) and the parties involved acquire no equity in lre. What a joke! Now show me the volumes to drive the price down in such a short periode of time and to whom the volumes went to - to justify the complete and ...more

Buddy, the short interest ratio was even higher for companies like Suncor, CNRL and Crescent Point yet none of those companies got broken.

That's why I used the Short Ratio.  Short Ratio takes into account the size of the float homie.
Comment by Reflect on Jun 14, 2016 8:45pm
Okay; now you are sounding serious. So let us ask ourselves this. Wouldn't it make sense that if a serious party were making a credible offer to buy into LRE - let's say at 1.40 for so many shares; wouldn't that party begin acquiring equity in LRE at a price accumulation of shares as many as possible below the the 1.40 initial offer & to also have a say in the Company. And wouldn& ...more

Granted mistakes were done. Granted they overspent on buy and overpayment of dividend.  Granted they were way ahead of themselves.  When sh it hit the fan they realized the fan is not working properly as oil is now drastically too low, they realized massive debt wont free them from the bind.  the initial offer was a proposal which could have worked if it was done early but those ...more
