The answer to your question  is no.   Leading indicators?  We live in a world of endless leading indicators, to point to an indicator, there must be a plausible, even logical connection to this indicator and the inferred  counterparty.  Well, if you want to maintain lucidity anyway, but maintain may be a word that does not apply here, claim might be a better word.
