Sandeep's Response

It’s noisy for sure but I truly believe our path forward is the same, and perversely in some ways better off (over time). The Yukon government (and First Nations) wants mines built by credible groups to avoid these types of failures – and Casino can only be built by world class major companies. A lot of the (CBC article) is specifically aimed at Victoria.

Our project is materially different than Eagle and has a lot of redundancy built in. This recent audio interview might be of interest. (Same podcast JC shared with us).

Why can't the answer be "Eagle's HLF was located in a relatively steep area, whereas ours is on flatter ground, and as such, at lower risk of a landslide." I'm obviously assuming if our design is safer, it's on flatter ...more

Exactly! That was point I was trying to get at... in reality however, I suspect Sandeep was implying that a major is going to be FAR more risk averse and that's the key point...in addition to the fact that if Rio screws up ...what something like a $1B cleanup would be 60 days of dividends they pay out vs it would put every other miner in Yukon out of business!

So all these permits and time, effort, money and JUMPING THROUGH THEIR HOOPS, what responsibilities do they assume? If it@s@ with their approval, these engineering firms demanding the big bucks, inspections are performed, what are they responsible for? Besides taking everyones money.
