Ready for the wild ride!!!

For Q4:2019, WL+WG = 6M revenue. Annualize this gives PS around $1CAD. Yahoo analysts estimate 60M for 2020. So yeah, it will be a wild ride.

Remember when they were going to be the "Starbucks of Cannabis" I do and boy do I feel f*ckn dumb. This will hover at 16c-20c. This silly/expensive gimmicky music branding (Decibal Cannabis...... really wtf is this sht) won't take it beyond that. Cannabis is going to be like liquor. I don't care what the store's branding is, I care that dumpy liquor store #1 near my house is ...more

That's what you do. It doesn't mean millions of cannabis users do what you do.

Seeing the rest of the retail Cannabis industry tank on incredibly low retail numbers and most studies showing the main reason people still support the illegal market is because "price is too high compared to other options", i'd say that RustyRobin hit things on the head. I don't partake in the happy smoke, but discussing with colleagues who do, there is a very similar sentiment ...more

In their last release mng stated that "the Company's four Prairie Records stores achieved record revenue in the month of January, with combined sales of approximately $930 thousand for the month, reflecting month over month sales growth of approximately 8%." Making such a public statement makes them liable to a lawsuit if this is a blatant lie. So I would go with that as a reflection ...more

Sure, but those sales increased not because they have a music theme and blew the budget on store fixtures, it's probably because of it's A) the only shop in the area (Westleaf spent a ton on stores in somewhat high-profile expensive locations, meaning less stores in the area, B) maybe their selection is better, I don't know. As with forfun I very rarely imbibe the devil's lettuce ...more

Somewhat interesting is that in October of last year, the 2 Saskatoon stores generated $533,296 of revenue.  In January of this year, all 4 stores (2 Saskatoon, 1 Warman, 1 Calgary) generated $933,000 revenue ($396,704 more than 2 locations in October).  I'll make the assumption that Warman isn't keeping up with the Saskatoon locations, but if you do the math, the numbers don ...more

I don't know where you got those numbers. If you check the Cedar Report, issued Nov. 29, 2019, for the three retail stores in question, the earning report shows a total revenue of $1.661M for 3 months. That's an average of 184K per store per month, way out of line with what you are posting. For those who want to verify those numbers go to https://www.westleaf.com/financials ...more

I apologize if my numbers sound out of line or not credible.  If you truly feel i'm misprepresenting the information, you should dive in further as the details I posted are straight from Westleaf's website via the Oct 28, 2019 Retail Update. I appreciate you questioning the credibility/validity of the information I posted as it confirms I'm not the only one who has a few question ...more

Fine. I understand your position. But let me say that I don't know who posted that on Westleaf website. I have taken the numbers from Cedar, which if wrong could lead the company to be delisted on the stock exchange. So I'm going with the Cedar report. And those numbers are looking good. An 8% increase, month over month, is pretty good, if I may say so. Now if their intention is to ...more

Ok, I think it's best I perhaps back away from further confusing you.  I feel you may be misunderstanding financials.  Revenue listed in financials on Sedar (not cedar, lol) are total revenue for company, not just stores.  As a shareholder i'd hope you understand Westleaf earns revenue on several different metrics from retail stores, investments as well selling/distributing ...more

Even if one attributes some of that revenue to other resellers, that brings down the average revenue of WL's own retail stores ending Sept 2019, making the numbers in Jan even more significant.  tx for pointing my "cedar" faux pas...:-)
