Pending News Releases

Got this IR response regarding an update of the timeline for the NI43-101 report release:
We are working on a News Release that will provide an update as soon as possible. SRK are assisting in drafting this release. We have some confidentiality agreements and are working with multiple engineering consultants, and this is complicating the disclosure process.

In other news, management are currently in talks with one of the majors regarding a strategic partnership. We are looking to fully explain further details in the upcoming NR.

"...one of the majors...' interesting line.  CIF has given WAI access to potentially millions of $.  If 'one of the majors' is in talks with WAI, will CIF step up further?  Very interesting response from IR - hopefully that NR is issues shortly.

The first $10 million wasnt contigent on a resource report - it was for exploration.  The next $20 million was contigent on a 350 million tonne resource report for the Wondima site. The letter of intent was signed with CIF on Sep 4, 2012.  At that time the resource report was expected in Q4 2012. One year plus has expired and no resource report.  CIF probably got tired of waiting. ...more

Lots of good information here... I am not so sure CIF got tired of waiting, I think CIF wanted to re-negotiate the deal for a lower placement than 10 cents and WAI knew it was worth more.  As for the delay... who knows really, I hope it was lab delays.  Remember though, this was not a simple analysist but a full meturlargy report.  If one does quick math of the resource ...more
