Learned my Lesson

I believe some of you were right...lost so much of my profits last week. I should have secured some

Deciding when to take a profit is a difficult decision, especially when you have had a good run. Hitting that sell button never feels right when a stock is on the rise.  I sold a third of my position a few weeks ago. Recovering my initial investment was always in my plan. It still was a struggle to sell knowing where this stock is going. There are not many Xebecs out there. But having a plan ...more

It’s never wrong to lock in profits . Xebec is a gem and while the whole sector was overbought and due for a correction , we will be hitting new highs in the coming months . GLTA

yeah it all depends on your timeline if you need the money now or soon you definitely should have sold at 10 or 11 but if you have a longer timeline then why worry about the day to day fluctuations this will be higher it's just a matter of when.

I won't be back here much anymore. I'm struggling. I'd like to prepare for blasting off by saying that throughout my life, I've encountered far more liars than there are people who are honest. A simple truth is that it's often far more important to decide when to take losses than profits.

I would like to sincerely thank you TT for all your insight and knowledge. You have been truly been a wealth of knowledge from years of experience. I for one will be sad to see you leave this board but I am not surprised. You have slowly reduced the number of posts from daily to weekly and I saw it coming. All great things must come to an end. TT, I'll be the first to ask 'who are you kidding!?' You've provided some insightful posts, but please be honest with yourself - you get way too much out of the fawning and gushing over your posts from green investors for you to turn away for long.  You also have a very well established habit of referencing your previous posts, to be a certified 'I told you so' on ...more

Dear Mr. Tamarack, I once again have to let you know that you've been an incredible support throughout this ride. I value the insights and guidance you provide so much. I'm probably the youngest investor out on this board and you've thaught me and gave me so much knowledge that will probably be useful throughout the rest of my life. You're such a generous and authentic human being. ...more

Further to my last comment, I will miss your calming rationale and in depth analysis why the share price goes up or goes down. I am not sure why you reference meeting so many liars but to me that is the most troubling comment. I feel sad that is how you view your life. As a father who lost a daughter to a tragic murder, I know depression and deep sadness and deep down you have expressed an ...more

This is very troubling :( I am truly sorry for your loss Mark. I would like to offer you and your family my deepest and most sincere condolences and may the soul of your daughter rest in peace. I knew all the way how good of person you are! I'd love to be your friend

Thanks Zouz it was several years ago, We have grown as a family and feel her presence every day. I never intended to post that comment but simply to point out no matter how dark things may appear, the sun will always rise again!

TT, You have made this Board for me. You motivate everyone here. The essence of XBC will be gone w/o your input. A true XBC hero!!

As someone in their 20's and relatively new to investing, The insight TT has provided in regards to market movements and in particular XBC has been a enormous help. It has provided conviction in times of uncertainty. To reiterate what others have said I would like to thank you for your contributions. I wish you all the best and hope things improve for you.

I am certain you will get another chance in the next few weeks. I am in the same position. Although I trade up and down. Yes, it's always difficult to know when to buy and when to sell because you would have to know the future to do it properly. The overall trend on XBC is up. You can count on that. It makes trading the stock and holding the stock a lot easier.
