Xebec Announces Board Addition

Event

Xebec announced an addition to its Board of Directors.

Impact: SLIGHTLY POSITIVE

Details: Xebec announced that Karen Nielsen will join the Xebec Board of Directors, effective immediately. Ms. Nielsen was previously the Chief Development Officer at Seven Generations Energy Ltd. and is a non-executive lead director at Crew Energy.

TD View: Ms. Nielsen brings a comprehensive background in the conventional energy sector and a strong understanding of North American natural gas markets; an area of expertise that ties directly to the company's renewable natural gas business and a skill set that is currently missing on Xebec's Board. Ms. Nielsen also improves the gender parity of Xebec's board (28.5%, or 2 of 7) to within a range of the Canadian average of 30% (83 sample companies) and above the global average of 21%, based on the MSCI World Index.

Another company buiding move, adding top notch people to help them fulfill their vision. You don't attract talent of this calibre or have friendly M&A unless those involved believe in the future of the the company. The bottom appears to be in and the shorts will cover adding additional buying pressure to move the share price up to fill that "gap" seen on the way down.
