This is the lunchtime lull

The stock isn't pulling back after a big early move, it's consolidating. Digesting. I don't know about you people, but after the strength and volume we've seen this morning, I doubt the stock has reached equilibrium yet today. Things should pick up again around 2. No matter which way you cut it, the opening was a breakaway or runaway gap. One that is very unlikely to be filled. The low is in and the market knows it. A dollar downside vs who-knows-what upside is pretty attractive from a risk/reward perspective. The close should be very interesting. Maybe we're back in the good old days, when a bank sets a one year target and the stock hits it in less than a month.

Funny to think that in January $4.89 would have felt like a gut punch, but today it feels celebratory.  The markets have a funny way of giving you fresh perspectives time and time again.  Definitely a wonderful few days post the quarterly news.  How nice would it be if we could regain that mid $5 point from early April, but this time with the reasonable quarter behind us, fresh ...more
