Just too many

I've received far too many messages asking my thoughts of the appointments of Messrs Vounassis and Munro to answer them each individually. I'd be ill-equipped to give an opinion anyway, other than to say that the market obviously doesn't have a problem with it.
I don't know either of them personally, I've never met either of them, and I'm privy only to the same information as is everyone else, by means of their public biographies and curriculum vitae.
I'm not sufficiently knowledgeable to comment on their prospects in contributing to Xebec's future successes.
However, I will say this. I don't think today's strength can be explained away entirely  as a result of yesterday's news. Yesterday's news is just that. Yesterday's news. The market discounts news very quickly.
The volume and strength today were steadfast and continuous, lasting all day virtually without pause. Perhaps even accelerating. 220,000 shares traded in the last 15 minutes.
I don't think the strength at the close today can be entirely attributed to news released well before the open yesterday.
I think something else is in the wind. Something significant that we'll hear about shortly.
Maybe a move to the Nasdaq proper, or maybe a significant order for Biostream, or maybe a commitment from Hydro Quebec, or maybe anything, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever.
An episode of unusual and uninterrupted strength in the market doesn't usually continue to manifest because of news that's almost 2 days old.
   I think something's up.
I also think BMO may well have just initiated coverage with a 2-day target.

TT, don't sell yourself short. I personally believe you are bang on. I always value your analysis and more often than not you are bang on!

TT, you might be on to something with the Biostream news. The plan to build 50+ units next year is a very steep ramp up from 10 or 11 units per year with current production. To me selling that many units would require a huge effort from the sales team - without a partnership of some sort. I checked in with the company with a few questions about the plans for Biostream production. Maybe it was ...more

As Kurt stated, to hit those numbers they are ramping up to two units per month in August to 4 by January. With a steady production build up they should hit 3 units a day by mid Oct based on their ability to establish and improve processes. By my estimate they should have those 11 completed in late Nov Also, the four units per day output next year will be accomplished with the current two shifts ...more
