Jason del Vicario on BNN today

Posting this so people know the company was commented on. When i read stockchase' s comments appears they left STUFF out because it seems partially incoherent referencing an American study somehow?

An American study ranked the at the top of their research list. Fundamendentals: they've never had positive free cash flow, which is a red flag, and they're diluting shares with an issuance. Doesn't know how their business model will perform long term, especially without government support. Now, our governments support green energy, but what happens if this vanishes overnight? Can their product sustain itself without subsidies? If you own this, own only 1-2% of your entire portfolio.

I saw this live. It was the worst presentation I've ever seen. He has no idea what XEBEC is all about. I was embarassed for him.

Agreed, he has no clue as to what he is talking about. https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/investing/video/jason-del-vicario-discusses-xebec-adsorption~2213448

Right off the bat, he indicated that he was "somewhat familiar" with the company which essentially meant that he received a list from some US manager that had XBC ranked near the top. That was the extent of his knowledge so I'm not sure why he took the question in the first place. GLTA

I agree retiredcf.  He also made it sound as though XBC is the only company on the planet who may be receiving govermment subsidies. And as much as I Iove my oil, his thinking that a government may come along and undo the renewable momentum....not gonna happen. That would have been Trump and that boat has sailed.

I do happen with you about it's not going to happen. Here's a link for the followup article explaining Jason's thinking? Note the author finishes with Kurt's comments. ttps://www.cantechletter.com/2021/06/xebec-has-a-lot-of-red-flags-this-investor-says/

A lot of his comments should be taken into context with industry comparables and company specific issues. PLUG / BLDP are not cash flow positive. BLDP has a much longer history of not being cash flow positive than XBC. PLUG / BLDP have also had multiple share offerings over the past few years. XBC has admitted that they have incurred costs to build a global business, increasing staff,  ...more
