Recap
That was a long driveway to a small house.
I have never figured out how sometimes the volume virtually disappears for no apparent reason.
It's as if somebody turned off the spigot.
One might be lead to think its a conspiracy. lol
Here are today's volumes for a few well known stocks versus their 30-day averages.
Plug 10.3 million vs 24.8 million
Ballard 1.7 million vs 3.5 million
FuelCell 8.7 million vs 17.3 million
I would never have thought that Xebec would have one of its slowest days on the day they announce their quarterly release date.
151,000 shares traded versus their 30 day average of 458,000.
The market never ceases to amaze me.
I wouldn't have thought it possible.
The mysteries of the market are always intriguing
Anyway, the day is over and turned out to be a non-event.
Completely meaningless.
As though it never happened.
No point worrying about it. No point trying to figure out what it means, or if it means anything for that matter.
We closed flat on the week.
Big Deal.
Who cares?
Tomorrow is another day.
Enjoy your evenings.

I'm confused about why you would think that announcing you are going to report revenues that everyone already knows is coming in August before they announce it would have any effect on the stock at all.

No need for confusion there friend. I wasn't talking about the stock price at all, was I? My comment was clearly and specifically addressed to the unusually low volume. Sometimes, for no apparent reason, the volume completely disappears on specific stocks. That's the enigma I was referring to. It happened to a number of stocks today.

Xebec traded 22,000 shares in the last half hour today. When was the last time we saw that? It usually does that in the last 2 minutes.
