well, maybe there is a way.......

I fully agree that the timing of this webcast is very odd given, that my take on the ceo is that he appears to be a level headed, under promise over deliver type of guy

double T has one optomistic outlook

here's mine

maybe the numbers are ok, yet not that great, and he wants the 'marketplace' to see in advance and have a couple days to understand all the initiatives he has undertaken and how he believes they will pan out over time

this way he will allow everyone to read (over and over again) his progress to date, without being freakedout by current numbers which may be modest

kind of 'softening the blow' if you will

to my way of thinking, if you have fabulous numbers, you would not put out a webcast with the potential of pumping it even further

but that's me, and i will likely take an initial position as early as tomorrow depending on the price action

good luck

what happened to you in life that everything is doom and gloom with you. I get it you are cautious and slightly pessimistic but geez do you see good in anything?

I think you hit the nail on the head here Whognu.  No one would pump their own busienss days before a quarter unless they were concerned about market reactions.  He's trying to get ahead of it, in my opinion.  If you have a glowing quarter, your numbers do the talking, and then you can raise guidance as well if you really want to juice the market.  This does not smack of a ...more

Interesting takes but I don't see it that way softening the blow of what? They will be better numbers than in q1 what blow is their to soften. The market did not react that negatively to q1 so I doubt people will be running for the exits on q2 numbers. We will know soon enough.

The quarterly revenues will be the best that XBC has ever had. They will be at least $27 million. I'm not sure that there's really anything to be concerned about?

not concerned 1 bit actually exited to see a rush of buyers all expecting to buy a dip have to scramble to start a position.

I disagree. If you pump the stock price up before disappointing numbers, then it's bound to go down when the numbers are released and it's destined to be sentenced to more time in purgatory. Everyone of sound mind would know that. I'm quite confident Xebec's management is of sound mind.
