I wonder how many others here have a riches to rags story?

Surely I'm not the only one here who had their fortune disappear in the last year. Feel free to share your riches to rags story.

With Xebec going from an intraday high of $11.55 down to an intraday low of $1.68 within a year, down over 85%, there must be a lot of others here whose capital has been destroyed.

The longer this bear market lasts the worse position I'll be in since I have no other streams of income, so have to sell my growth stocks at a deep loss on a monthly basis, which is a quick route to bankruptcy. I only take out enough to pay my bills, food etc, no luxuries. I sold my expensive cars, no ...more

I've got one that would blow you away, and I'm not talking about just Xebec. It was years ago and self-induced. I didn't particularly enjoy riches. I hate snobbery, and I was never quite sure who my real friends were. Nothing worse than being at a conference at Deerhurst during a long-running bull market with 400 brokers who all think their sh*t doesn't stink. Some posters here ...more
