There is not a trading house out there that doesn't see Small Caps doing well this year likely in the back half but don't rule anytime. Big equity stock is a target game this year in the face of corrections and/or slow growth and Small Cap will likely underpin any earnings.

By no means does that mean these brokerages are right.  High oil prices and high inflation typically lead to a recession.  Smallcaps almost always sell off more than other stocks during a recession. I'm not saying there will be a recession but there is a pretty fair chance of one if oil prices continue upwards and inflation numbers don't recede  Filoux I don't follow ...more

Nothing is 100% however if I am a brokerage, I am not about to blow smoke up my clients arses. They kinda like repeat and continous business. At least thats been mmy experience. Small caps always get hammered first unless they are already hammered into the ground... then... during a recession when no money is being made in the big boys... Small Cap becomes the oppty... right now small cap are ...more
