Why Total Electric?
I cannot understand the push by governments and environmentalists for Total Electric Transportation. It's crazy!! Battery production and disposal is a disaster. Hydrogen from electrolysis using Renwable Electricity is a stretch---more expensive than methanationof RNG with expensive and difficult transport of hydrogen from distant Centralized Hydrogen Production vs. local Decentralized Hydrogen Production using on site HyGEAR units. RNG is the only renewable fuel with a carbon negative rating, especially when using agricultural waste. RNG with Biostream is the perfect Circular Process as there is a never ending organic wase supply once the Biostream is set up and the remaining digestate can be used as an organic soil builder without the use of chemical fertilizers. We already have the pipeline infrastructure to transport RNG. We already have the infrastructure to build, repair, maintain, and replace Internal Combustion Engines running on RNG plus the ability to capture and sequester CO2 during the production of RNG. Total Electric Transportation makes no sense. The trucks are three times the initial cost of a truck running on RNG. They would have to build a complete recharging infrastructure before the first Total Electric Class 8 Truck heads Over the Road. Clean Energy already has a significant RNG fueling capability in the US and RNG is even more available in Europe. Tell me how a third world country will produce the electric power to run all their transportation. Organic waste from animals, landfills, food spoilage, and municipal waste is EVERYWHERE. Tap it into a Biostream and you have an inexhaustible supply of RNG forever. It's not Rocket Science.
